The Last Records of 2008

I stopped by the thrift store on Magnolia yesterday looking for a ridiculous New Year's suit and stopped first to peruse the records. While I ultimately ended up passing on the $35 canary suit (it wasn't long enough in the arms-- what can I say, I'm a gangly fellow) I did pick up two records.

First, "Emotional Rescue" from the Stones, which features the criminally underrated cut "She's So Cold."

Then I found the 12" of Orbit's "The Beat Goes On." I'd never heard it, but I usually snatch up singles when I find them AND it had a Don Was production credit. And guess what, it is a jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam.

Happy New Year everybody.
